Every bride wants to look amazing on their wedding day!

Knowing your body shape is key to what gowns will suit you and finding ‘the one’!

Taking advice from most bridal retailers if you are unsure is a great tip as they should be well practised on what suits just by looking at your body shape.

Take along a few images to the appointments so the retailer can gauge what you are looking for, although in most cases it turns out to be something completely different than you first imagined you would fall in love with!

Mermaid styles or fishtails also are good styles to try on if you have this body shape..

THE TRIANGLE SHAPE

Try on v neckline shapes which will balance heavy shoulders and small sleeves and scoop necklines are also great at giving the shoulders a narrower look.

Detail is a great idea too as this will draw the eyes away and downwards,so choose waisted details like bows or belts and embroidered detail on the hemline.

Narrow a-line shapes work well and give the illusion of looking taller.

Dress Don’ts: Most silhouettes flatter your figure, but huge ballgowns and large fishtail or mermaid dresses tend to overwhelm. A big, elaborate dress can look as if it’s wearing you.
