Welcome to our Cherish Bridal Blog..

Here we will keep you up to date with all of our latest news, forthcoming products, weddings, and things to look our for..

As Independant Bridal Retailers ,here at cherish bridal we are increasingly seeing more and hearing about more brides who are having wobbles about their choice of gown and if it truly is ‘the one’ !

In our experience 99.9% of the time the bride has chosen ‘the one’  and there are no doubts .

The other 0.01%  are what we call the ‘what if ‘ brides who have a wobble and don’t want to stop trying on or looking ‘just in case’.

We seem to be hearing about and experiencing first hand the ‘what if bride’ more and more lately , hence the reason for this blog!

So here is our take on the subject…………

PUT ON YOUR BLINKERS…

  1. Now that you’ve found your dream gown, STOP LOOKING AND SHOPPING !! — it will only make you nuts if you keep looking at dresses that you may like even more. Yours is great! Now just look forward to showing everyone on the big day.

Take a break from social media.

2. The internet can be a great place to find dress inspiration, but it can also drive you absolutely crazy!. You may find a dress that you adore, but looking at Instagram or Pinterest might make you fall in love with a completely different gown (that may not even be in your price range) and doubt your initial choice. It may be a good idea to take a little social media cleanse while dress shopping so you can stop comparing yourself to others. Focus on what looks amazing on you, not what looks cool on the internet.

STOP OVERTHINKING…..

3. When you’re thinking you’ve chosen the wrong wedding dress, chances are that you’re overthinking it – one of those things that happens  (temporarily, don’t worry!). It’s totally normal for brides to begin to question their dream dress, but when it gets to the big day, those magical feelings you had when you first put it on come flooding back! Trust us on this one!.

HAVE CONFIDENCE…..

4. Ask your bridal consultant’s advice if you are having wobbles about your dress! Chances are they will be able to arrange another try on of the gown and settle your mind that you have made the right choice for your special day and there’s nothing to worry about ! Have confidence in yourself and trust your consultant that you have chosen the right dress , you will look stunning on your wedding day!

DON’T TAKE PHOTOS….

5. Don’t look at photos of yourself in the dresses you tried on ,or the one your chose (some shops won’t allow pics )….Its not ‘your’ actual dress .It might have been pinned or held around you or sponges down your back – and we all have a habit of picking at our body shapes or features on photos and ripping ourselves to shreds – Its important to REMEMBER HOW YOU FELT when you looked in the mirror when wearing your dress ! Its what made you go for it isn’t it ?

PLEASE YOURSELF…

6. Its about what YOU love and no-one else ! Showing photos to people of what you chose will also add unnecessary stress as it might not be what they envisioned you to wear….BECAUSE THEIR TASTE IS DIFFERENT TO YOURS ! You can’t please everyone – so make sure you choose what YOU love !!

Happy dress hunting !

THE Mid Cheshire Snooker League has donated almost £1,000 to a brave Rudheath boy’s fight against cancer.

Eight-year-old Saul Barry Hayden is currently undergoing treatment at Alder Hey for Hepatoblastoma – a rare form of childhood cancer – following a diagnosis in April.

The rare illness begins in the liver and, in Saul’s case, spread to his lungs and one of his arteries.

The fundraising night for ‘Super Saul’ on Saturday, June 8, saw professional snooker player Ken Doherty attend and auction off tickets to a Master’s match as well as a signed, framed photo.

The tickets went for £300, courtesy of Winsford-based Pockets Snooker owner Martin Morgan – contributing to a total on the night of £956.

Mid Cheshire Snooker League chairman Neville Malam was on hand to present the money to Saul’s dad, Hayden, and family friend Michelle Fletcher.

Mr Malam said: “We run the charity team knockout every year to raise funds for local people, and Cherish Bridal in Northwich also sponsor us to run this for charity.

“It was an obvious decision to give this donation to Saul and his family when we heard of his fight from Michelle.

“We hope Saul has a swift and full recovery and look forward to inviting him and his family to a future event.”

Last week, Rudheath Primary Academy presented Saul with LEGO on behalf of teachers and governors.

In May, Witton Street Boots – where Saul’s mum Vicky Kay-Spruce works –

took on a cycling challenge

to raise funds for Alder Hey and to support the family as they manage the treatment.

Beth entered our shop this year , like a whirlwind , full of excitement explaining that she and her fiance lee had booked their wedding for this year !

I was expecting her to say towards the end of the year , but no! ….they had booked for 27th april this year due to finding a deal not to be missed ,meaning they didnt have to wait anymore to get married – they could have the wedding they wanted much sooner !!

Hartford church ,St Johns , £1000 WEDDING OFFER  announced they were offering limited dates for couples who wanted to get married but were looking to keep costs to a minimum . They were offering a fantastic deal on the whole wedding ,so Beth and Lee saw this as a brilliant chance to save money and get married !!

Beth was so excited to try on with us now their wedding was booked so we sorted an #appointment asap !

Beth and her family arrived for the appointment and we picked out a few styles for her to try on – heres beths story ……

“”So.. i went in to tracy at #Cherish #Bridal very last minute, as our #wedding was booked very last minute. I had no idea what i wanted other than that i loved #lace. I always thought i would go for something with sleeves as thats what im usually comfortable in. I went into tracys shop and was greeted with a huge smile and some fizz! Luxury! I told tracy that i liked lace and how my wedding was in about 7 weeks! So.. off she went.. she picked out 5 #dresses for me and hung them up.. i spotted it there and then! I pointed to the dress and i remember tracy saying this was the one she was picturing me in! I tried the dress on, came out from behind the curtains and wow, just wow! I had found my perfect dress, no need to try anymore on. Tracy got some #hair pieces and a #veil for me to try on and it completed the look, i felt beautiful! “”

We were sorted !! Beth loved her dress and mum & sister caz agreed it was perfect !!

What makes this story even more special is that beths family had visited me before for beths sister carolines dress when she was searching and she found her dress here at Cherish too – it so nice to be able to be part of both sisters’ special days !!

We are so pleased that Beth and lee had a fantastic #wedding day , even storm hannah didn’t dampen their day !!

Congratulations to them both – we look forward to seeing more photos when they return from honeymoon !!

NB : Their story made the news the day after – The daily mail picked up on it and BBC breakfast news did a short piece too …how amazing is that !!
