    FAQ's



    How long do I need before I order my dress?

    We usually need to allow a good 6 months before the date of the wedding as some of the companies we deal with make the gowns abroad and they have to be shipped over.

    We can also store your dress for you in a specialised dress bag until your wedding day at no extra cost.


    In what sizes can you get the dresses?

    Most companies have a starting size of 8 and can go up to a size 30. However, there may be extra charges for gowns ordered in a size 22 upwards due to the extra fabric etc. required to make the dress for you.


    Do you have an alteration service?

    Yes we do! Our alterations ladies have had many years of experience doing just what is required to tweak your dress to perfection!

    Most alterations are done in-house therefore your dress never leaves the premises until the big day.

    The cost of these alterations will be explained to you fully at your fitting and you can request as many visits as you like until you are completely happy with your gown. Alterations are usually paid separately by cash or cheque.

    The cost is NOT included in the price of your wedding gown.


    Can you sort out last minute weddings?

    We will certainly do our best to help you sort out a gown if you don't have a lot of time until the big day!

    We do provide an 'Express Service' which means we can order what you would like, to arrive earlier than the normal delivery system.

    It is around 6-8 weeks for the express service and there is a charge by some companies. We will advise on this when you book your gown.

    We will also consider selling 'off the peg' depending on circumstances and on how old the sample gown is in the shop. If the sample gown is brand new then it is at the proprietors discretion to be sold 'off the peg'.


    How long do accessories take to arrive?

    Things like Tiaras, shoes, jewelry take approximately 7 days providing they are in stock at the companies' warehouses.

    Veils take roughly 2-5 weeks depending on the time of year. It always takes longer for them to be made during the peak wedding season between May and September.

    Accessories can be ordered in various colours to match your dress and the rest of your wedding party.


    Can I have my shoes to match my dress?

    Yes you can! The shoe companies we deal with do have a specialist dyeing service that will colour your shoes to match a swatch of fabric from your dress so everything co-ordinates perfectly!

    It usually takes around two weeks for the dyeing service costing approx £20 for adults and £15 for children.


    Do I need an appointment to try on gowns?

    Yes. You can call into the shop to book an appointment during opening hours (shown on the 'Contact' page), and we will advise you on style, colour and availability during your appointment.

    We can arrange appointments for fittings after hours if required

    I live in Barcelona and I had decided that I wanted to get my wedding dress from England so I could choose it with my mum but I knew I would only have 2 days to find my dream dress!! Within minutes of walking into Cherish Bridal Tracy made me feel very comfortable and at ease, I found my dress with Tracy’s help and all my accessories within an hour!! I was so happy and excited. From the minute Sarah walked into the shop nothing was to much trouble for Tracy there is a very wide choice of dresses and we didn't feel rushed into making a choice.     Tracy is truely amazing. I was recommended to tracey from a friend, after I lost my dress and the money I had paid for my dress when the shop went bust. As I hadn't been to Tracys shop or wasn't getting my dress from her she didn't have to help me at all. But she went to so much effort speaking to different people to see what she could do to make sure I got the same dress again. Not many peole would go out of their way like that, especially for someone they dont know or who they are not recieving any business from.     I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to tracy for just being amazing! I really struggled to find my perfect wedding dress and did not enjoy the experience but as soon as I stepped into cherish bridal I was made to feel very comfortable and tracy knew exactly what I wanted and found my amazing dress more or less straight away!     I got married in May 09, Went to Cherish Bridal looking for a bridesmaid dress for my grandaughter, Tracy knew what i wanted for her by my description, within 20 mins we had it, the perfect one, Tracy was great. While there i started just browsing at wedding gowns, so Tracy invited me to try some on, she was fantastic, she knew what i needed ( being an older bride), Tracy made me feel so special, also bought my Tiara from her, and took recommendation on nails and make up, Kim for nails, they looked lovely, and Rachel for make up, she worked miracles lol.     I tried on over 120 dresses all over the Northwest and found the perfect one 2 mins from where I live. Tracey is a truly exceptional lady and is brilliant at her job. She made the whole experience so special and everyone commented on how fab the dress was. Anybody who wants a personal and genuinely heartfelt service needs to visit Tracy!

    I got my wedding dress and 3 bridesmaid dresses and one flower-girl dress from cherish bridal and i have to say Tracy is exceptional shes makes the whole experience a absolute joy , I have recommended Tracy to friends because the service she provides is 5-star . I had all my alterations done there which was stress free and i loved every... minute of it i just wish i could do it all again.

    I got my dress and 6 bridesmaids dresses from Cherish Bridal and found the service fantastic. I think i tried almost every dress in the shop on and Tracy didn't mind taking the time to do this. Fittings were always at a time that would fit around work and that was a fab help. We looked at several dress shops and none were half as good so much so that we are now using Cherish bridal for another family wedding
